Window 11

Windows 11 is now available on compatible computers, but if you're looking for an update in Windows 10, only some users will have the option to use a new operating system. This is the summer when Windows 11 is being rolled out in stages. It Will end next year

According to support documentation, Microsoft has released a Windows 10 OOBE update titled "KB5005716" to enable a new upgrade experience for Windows 11 Home or Professional. However, there is a problem. This process requires the user to reboot the device or install Windows 10 cleanly.

The Windows 11 OOBE update process seems to be designed for new devices with the latest versions of Windows 10 versions 2004, 20H2, 21H1, and even 21H2 (scheduled to be released this month or later next month). Of course, Using KB5005716 requires an active internet connection without a meter.

KB5005716 is available in the latest versions of Windows 10 version 2004 and later and is only used on the OOBE screen.

That is, it cannot be used from the Microsoft Update Catalog.

As you can see in the screenshot above, during OOBE (Initial using Experience) you can choose between the active internet connection and cumulative update KB5005716.

This method works only on compatible computers and is especially useful for products such as Surface Pro X.

This is because the Windows 11 Update Assistant does not support ARM processors and the ISO developed with the Media Creation Tool does not support ARM64, so how to use a new operating system on an ARM computer is the Insider program and OOBE. There are only two (recharge required). ..

When you restore supported hardware, the OOBE experience will use cumulative updates that include the "Upgrade to Windows 11" feature. This will allow the device to use Windows 11 during the initial user experience and the device will boot directly to the desktop.

KB5005716 applies during the Windows 10 OOBE process when:

  • Your device is officially supported.
  • Internet connection is available during OOBE.
  • I have Windows 10 version 2004 with KB4586781 (build 19041,630) and optional update KB4580364 (build 19041,610). If you are using version 20H2 or later, no additional updates are required.

Of course, the Windows 11 OOBE update process may or may not work for everyone, so if you need a new operating system today, use the Windows 11 ISO and perform a location update or using it. need to do it.
